Catch Up

To say life is busy is an understatement. I'm just going to be posting pictures now. I'll begin with playing catch up from where I left off. :)

I'm only going to be listing colors here now instead of base and top coats.

COLORS:
Orly Lucky Duck
Pure Ice Heart Breaker
Nfu Oh 54

Macro shots uncover a multitude of sins! Sheesh!

Hope everyone is having a good day!

Day 6: Purple

All I have to say about my purple is, well, AMAZING!

I was able to get a few shots in the sun, but none of these pictures really capture what this mani looked like in real life.

Additionally, there are some pictures marked as "KTP". These are my pictures; I changed the watermark for the specific pictures because I plan to post them on MUA. MUA has a strict "do not talk about your blog" policy.

Enjoy!

This picture directly above is the closest (on my monitor) to what this mani looked like in person.

Black & White is next! I just finished it up a few minutes ago, so I've just got to get a few good pictures and they should be up soon!

Day 4: Green

Well, I used the China Glaze "Near Dark" with Nails Inc. Holographic Topcoat. Ugh. Terrible. It lasted 24 hours? Something like that. China Glaze and I still have issues to work out. I'm trying to figure out what it is I'm doing wrong! It's frustrating!!!! Grrrr. I've just got to practice some more, I guess.

So, for my green mani, I used the Nails Inc. Wyndham collection.

I'll upload with pictures later, but I just thought I'd share a little post about what I'm wearing!

I'll be back to edit soon! :)

EDIT: January 10, 2012

First off, HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! I hope everyone has enjoyed their 2012 so far! Blogging around the holidays is so difficult because of all the things to do and places to be. So, without further ado, here is the Wyndham collection!

Forgive the terrible job. I had no nail polish remover to clean up the cuticle area...
This picture above shows a good color spectrum of the flakie. There's greens and blues and purples. The rest of the pictures say the same sort of things, so I'm just going to let you look at the pretties. :)

Blinded by the flash!!! Haha. This shows the greener, yellower tones. Maybe some orange too?

From a different angle with lots of flash again. This shows more of the blue and purple.

Overall, I love this collection to death! It had great staying power too. Stayed on a whole week with only 2 chips!!

Nails Inc - The Thames and Nfu Oh 054

Hello everyone!

Well, my apologies. I've delayed posting for quite some time! But, do not fear. I have 3 different posts for tonight! Over-compensating? Yes, I am. Haha. :)

This first one I absolutely love. I caved in, as I said earlier, and got the Nails Inc Neutrals from Sephora. In this specific mani, I used "The Thames" which is a beautiful "concrete grey" (I think they call it). After getting bored with it after a couple days, I decided to see what it would look like with Nfu Oh 054 over it. Beautiful. I'll let the pictures do the talking! (Although it won't be much talking because it's from my cell phone camera... :( ...)

Here's "The Thames" all on its own. This polish went on so well!! Beautiful glossy finish too!

And here it is with Nfu Oh 054 - 1 thin layer. My cellphone didn't capture its wonderfulness!

P.S. I changed the name of my blog from New2Nails to "What the Nail?!" recently. So previous posts that have New2Nails in the photos ARE NOT stolen. They are mine; I thought "What the Nail?!" was more exciting than "New2Nails"... A girl can change her mind right?! :P

I hope to use Nfu Oh 054 again over "The Thames", and I'll use my real camera next time!!

Oh yes, before I forget... I used the Nails Inc Kensington Caviar basecoat. It was okay. Didn't really fill any ridges or anything, but it did hold up pretty well. I used 2 coats of "The Thames". Topped it off with Seche Vite Quick Dry Top Coat. Then later a thin layer of Nfu Oh 054 followed by another topping of Seche Vite.

I love flakies! What do y'all think?
