Here was my Saint Patrick's Day mani for 2012. Enjoy!

As you can see, I decided to go with white Konad in the final design rather than the green.

Ugly Manicure

Okay, I think this is ugly. Mainly because of the colors. What I envisioned in my head as to what my nails would look like was a HUGE disappointment. I didn't even bother to edit the pictures too much because I think it's so ugly. Haha. I formulated this idea in my head because of my beloved Florida State Seminoles doing well in the ACC Basketball Tournament. Good thing my team looked better than my nails!

Here are some pictures, I shall say no more...

Oh, yes, I need to say more. This is pic heavy, so please read more after the jump! And thanks Google support for having the answer to how one makes a jump link in Blogger! <3

Day 11: Polka Spots!

I have *so* much updating to do. I have like 5 (or 6 maybe?) manis to upload. Time to get to it!!

This was a dotted French manicure. White and green. I love green. :)

Here you go!

Started off with 2 coats of essie Mademoiselle.

Next I added French tip guides.

NOTE: Make sure to stick them to your skin a few times!!!
If you don't do this, they can stick too hard and peel of the polish underneath! Yikes!!

The result after 1 coat of essie Blanc.

The result after 1 coat of essie Blanc on the right hand. Unfortunately,
on my right pinky and ring fingers, I forgot to stick the nail guide to my
skin before applying to the nail. The distortion you see in the photo (hard
to see) is due to the polish underneath being stripped off the nail.

First row of dots with essie Pretty Edgy.

Second row with China Glaze In the Lime Light (Neon).

The third row of dots using Sinful Colors Olympia.

This row is hard to see because, well, my nails weren't really wide
enough for five rows of dots. Oops!

Finally, pictures with a real camera! :D

Unfortunately, this mani didn't last long because I was chipping and
peeling like CRAZY. :(

 ...Yuck...

Day 6: Purple

All I have to say about my purple is, well, AMAZING!

I was able to get a few shots in the sun, but none of these pictures really capture what this mani looked like in real life.

Additionally, there are some pictures marked as "KTP". These are my pictures; I changed the watermark for the specific pictures because I plan to post them on MUA. MUA has a strict "do not talk about your blog" policy.

Enjoy!

This picture directly above is the closest (on my monitor) to what this mani looked like in person.

Day 5: Blue

Day 5 has finally arrived for the blog! I didn't get many pictures of this, but, as I said earlier, abysmal weather has taken its toll this winter (it's more like spring, to be honest). However, at the time of this manicure, our area was being hit with its first legitimate "cold snap". So, the blue manicure was well-timed. Matched my blue lips, haha. Brrrr...

Looking at this manicure still makes me cold, actually.

There we have it! I'm currently wearing purple right now, but, it's on its last legs. I'm going through pictures right now. My purple post should be up later today, hopefully! It's a BEAUTY! I LOVE the combination I did!

I'm back!

Hello readers!

I've decided it was a good time for me to update the ol' blog before I got too far behind. School has started and, while having time every now and then to paint my nails and take pictures, it's a different thing entirely to be able to crop, edit, etc. pictures. Also, the weather has just been terrible, and there has been ZERO sunshine to bring out the "pretty" in my pretties! :(

Without much introduction for this one, it was my 2011 National Championship mani for football. The University of Alabama Crimson Tide was hosted by the Louisiana State University Tigers. Well, my significant other is an avid Alabama fan (I myself am a Florida State University Seminole fan). I went for the Tide on his behalf, and, okay, they are kind of my 2nd favorite team; I must say though, they are 2nd favorite waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay behind my 'Noles. :)

So much for "without much introduction"... Haha. I have one picture of this mani and one picture of the "ingredients". Alabama's colors are crimson and white. They're also known for their hounds-tooth pattern. Enjoy!

For some reason, I used two. Most likely an experiment, but I fail to remember the results. Oops!

Day 2 - Orange Nails

Okay, so, I may have cheated a bit. I used this "orange" day for Thanksgiving. It's seasonal and appropriate, I thought. But, I also think I'm a bit of a cop out... I DESPISE the color orange, haha.

"Day" 1 - Red Nails

It's time for my "Day" 1 challenge! (As acknowledged in my previous post, I have neither the time or patience in my life to do a new challenge every single day, so I'm doing the challenges leisurely).

For this one, I used China Glaze's Ravishing, Dahling, along with the China Glaze Strong Adhesion base coat and Seche Vite Rapid Dry top coat.

The weather as of late has been MISERABLE. So please forgive my pictures. Also, I did a little stamping on my ring fingers because I got bored with plain red. I may edit this post in the future with a picture or two of me "editing" my nails for a better look; however, I've got a paper to do soon, so I need to really leave my nails ALONE! Haha. :)

Without further ado, here is Ravishing, Dahling!

This is a darker red, which is why I like it. It looks super, super dark in the bottle compared to what it looks like on your nails. I used 3 coats for the results in the pictures. I'm not sure about China Glaze. Their formula is weird or something. It's the first time I've used their polish though, so it may just take some getting used to. Additionally, I used Essie's Blanc for the stamping using Feaux-nad plate 63.

Next up is orange and I have NO idea what to do with orange... I actually hate orange, haha.

Have a good week everyone!! :)

Disney Mani!!

So, let me tell you, I was super excited to do a Disney mani. I LOVE Disney. From Snow White to Pirates, love, love, Love, Love, LOVE!!!

I'll get the boring stuff done with first... Nails, colors, and bases... But first, the pattern is the patchwork mani! (If y'all haven't been to the Chloe's Nails blog before, beware! Haha. Some great designs and colors going on and you'll be spending like crazy!)

So, voila! There we have it! The first picture is the Friday following the day I did the mani - I was bored in the airport. The next ones are also in the airport 4 days later!!! I didn't do ANYTHING to my nails to maintain them. There was slight tip wear, but I didn't reapply a topcoat or anything! No babying at all on vacation. Of course, I didn't do dishes or anything on vacation either. This manicure stayed awesome!... Until I bumped one of my nails on my luggage. Then I peeled it off (eek). So, there we have it!

Anyone have any other themed manis that are their favorites?? Have a good week!
