Here we go! Post number one!
This first manicure I feature lasted from Friday, September 23rd, til Wednesday the 28th. Pictures first, then I'll list the components after.
Besides the fact I painted waaaaaaay to far away from my cuticles (and my cleanup job was a little rough), these pictures were taken on Monday, so there were a few chips here and there.
For the base coat, I experimented: Essie "fill the gap" on my left hand, and Essie "ridge filling base coat nail foundation" on my right. "Fill the gap" definitely performed better.
Color: Essie Blanc.
Top coat/glitter: Nails Inc Electric Lane holographic top coat. I let it sit and dry for about 20 minutes before using Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat.
Top coat of Essie "no chips ahead" every other day.
I really liked this combination, especially in light. My pictures did NOT capture the beauty of the holographic Electric Lane AT ALL. Electric Lane is very opal-like in the color it reflects. It's a rainbow of colors that's blinding in the sunshine. Unfortunately, I didn't think to take a "sunshine" picture... I'll have to remember that for next time!!!
This was my first experience using Nails Inc and I'd like to try it again. I'm definitely planning on using Electric Lane again over black, or a darker base. This Blanc and Electric Lane combination looks very winter-y and festive.
My next post should be coming within a few days. In the meantime, I'm going to be adding a few more pages to this blog so that my readers can know what to expect from crazy ol' me. :D
